Case Study: DesCor Builders

Challenge:
DesCor Builders has positioned itself to be one of the leading construction services firms in Northern California and the DesCor website fell far short of reflecting not only the class and sophistication of the company, but the forward thinking attitude stated throughout the company literature and the ambition, knowledge and first-class quality of DesCor as well.

DesCor had a strong existing brand/identity, however the state of the existing web site interface was severely outdated and lacked a cohesive link to the existing identity.

Solution:
The goal of our project for DesCor Builders was to bring the DesCor culture to the forefront, to bring the website to life and make sure the website properly communicated the organization’s experience and positive, professional approach which is focused on building personal relationships. We built and positioned the new site with features and functionality that would help to better distinguish DesCor as a leader in the industry by elevating their web presence above all other competitors in Northern California. The user experience was greatly improved by giving the site more visual interest, making the site simpler and easier to use, and overall providing a more engaging experience through improved content and visual design.

Case Study: California ISO

Challenge:
The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) came to Blast Advanced Media in need of a communication materials to support the Market Redesign & Technology Upgrade (MRTU) project initiative. These materials would serve to educate and inform both internal and external audiences with interest in the MRTU project. Presented in a 35 minute presentation via both the web and CD, the deliverables needed to be flexible in their presentation.

We needed a solution that would convey a large amount of information, engage viewers from both internal & external audiences and deliver a 35 minute presentation in a format suitable for both the web and CD.

Solution:
Based on the deliverables needed, we decided flash would be the best vehicle for delivery of this extensive presentation. We decided to forego the standard stock photography based "words and pictures" presentation and created all custom artwork and illustration allowing us to more closely illustrate the concepts and information in the presentation. The advantage to this - we were able to save the client time and cost by eliminating the need to search and purchase stock photography and we were able to drastically reduce the file size for the web deliverable without straying far from the quality of the original CD presentation.

Case Study: Lennar Corporation

Challenge:
Create distinction and one-on-one marketing opportunities in an increasingly aggressive regional home buyers market. The web site's primary goal was "conversion" or turning visitors into active leads and "members" in a customized portal, giving them a personal experience that allowed them to participate in the entire homebuying process, which includes finding, buying and living in their new home.

Solution:
We delivered a data base-driven content management system that integrated with our client's existing systems and processes. The web site experience was framed around a "Find, Buy, Live" concept. The end result was a localized, lifestyle-focused website that provides extensive personalization for home buyers in all stages of the sales cycle.

The success of our efforts is proven by the fact that visitors are creating personal accounts at a high conversion rate and are utilizing the site in all three stages of the process. Users are visiting the site multiple times a day and from different locations.
